The airline industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. And while Kansas City International Airport was taking steps to make things safer for travelers, research told us that using images of people in masks or using disinfectants conjured feelings of anxiety and stress. To put prospective travelers at ease, we borrowed inspiration from classic postcard designs, focusing more on the destination and the positive feelings those places evoke. All while working in subtle cues that point to the safety measures being taken.
